SURPRISE, Ariz. (July 2, 2018)
Destiny Springs, a new behavioral healthcare facility set to open late this summer, has appointed Burton Carriker as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Carriker brings 35 years of experience to this field with more than 20 years leading some of the top behavioral health facilities across the country. Before stepping into the leadership role for Destiny Springs, Carriker was CEO for Diamond Healthcare behavioral health facilities in both Dallas/Ft. Worth and in the greater Cleveland area.
As CEO of Destiny Springs, Carriker is responsible for recruiting and developing a complete professional team, which at full operation will employ 250 people. Additionally, he will lead the development of robust programs, ensuring high quality patient care, maintaining all regulatory requirements and the overall fiscal stability of the facility.
“I am honored to be tapped to lead Destiny Springs,” said Carriker. “The Destiny Springs founder, Martin Newman, M.D., has been part of the greater Phoenix medical community for more than 20 years. Dr. Martin has extensive experience working for some of the top healthcare systems here, and was driven to create Destiny Springs to revolutionize behavioral healthcare in a community that needs and deserves a world-class behavioral healthcare facility.”
Carriker’s focused passion for behavioral healthcare is what drove his career success in this field.
“This field chose me when I lost someone very close to suicide many years ago,” said Carriker. “We have a tremendous opportunity to make a difference for individuals and the community as a whole, and I’m looking forward to what Destiny Springs can accomplish.”
Carriker received his undergraduate degree in psychology from William Jewell College and received his master’s degree from the University of Kansas in counseling and psychology.
