On March 13, 2020, the United States declared a national emergency in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. At that time, Destiny Springs Healthcare took steps to protect patients, staff and visitors by encouraging all patients, staff and visitors to wear a mask at all times, providing opportunities for frequent hand washing, and educating all on the importance of social distancing. We also adjusted visitation and personal cell phone usage.
While visitation during a COVID-19 pandemic is highly discouraged, Destiny Springs Healthcare recognizes the value in involving patients’ support network in the treatment process. Destiny Springs Healthcare placed temporary restrictions on visitation during the COVID-19 pandemic to safeguard patients, staff, and the community.
